Spread of Infectious Diseases

Today we started exploring how infectious diseases spread in our classroom. One infectious disease that spread over Asia, Africa and Europe in the 14th century was a disease called Black Death. Read the article and check out the Interactive map on the bottom of the webpage. Can you think of any other infectious diseases that have infected so many people over a short period of time?
